| It all started in March 2005 when SKATELAB set up a skateboarding history display for Urban Edge in Milan Italy. Then the display was sent to the SKATEBOARD MUSEUM OF STUTTGART in Germany. Now many of SKATELAB'S classic skateboards will be on display for the month of
October at "Skateboard Fever" in Barcelona Spain. Click the link for more. Staf Magazine Kicks Ass. CLICK THIS FOR PROOF.
********************UPDATE....
I had a great time in Spain. When I arrived the display was already set up and flowing with curious people. My 2 hosts, Juergen and Daniel picked me up at the airport and delivered me to my hotel. Wow. I scored! B-Hotel was brand new and really nice for only 100euros a night. The pool was on the roof over looking Plaza Espana. The owner of "Free Barcelona" skateshop, Soren was cool enough to take us in his VW bus to the new insane park in Premia. After I basically kooked out there I was pretty humbled and more or less embarassed. Barcelona is a must for any street skater as it is basically a paradise for free, 24hour un- policed skate spots. It is almost like Venice Beach in a different language. Special thanks to Inigo from Iguapop Gallery, Juergen and Daniel from Faux Ami and Soren of Free Barcelona Skateshop. I will go back someday!!! |
