SKATELAB_ROLLATHON2015

Alex Midler’s 4th Annual Roll A Thon kicks off at Skatelab Sunday October 18th. Roll on down for this very special event put on by Alex to benefit the Johnny Kicks Cancer Foundation & Teen Cancer America.

On Sunday October 18th at 12:00 noon, our Roll-a-thon begins at Skatelab. By 1 p.m., we will begin rolling along a scenic route on Simi Valley’s bike path towards Frontier Park about 3.5 miles away.     Anyone can participate by riding anything that rolls, like a scooter, bike or skateboard.  Upon finishing the 7-mile roll and returning to Skatelab around 3 p.m., the fun will continue.  There will be food and drinks, a silent and live auction, and of course skateboarding.  We are planning to have some surprise guest pro/am skaters in attendance as well.   Don’t forget to wear something RED…it was Johnny’s favorite color.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU PLAN TO RIDE AT SKATELAB YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE WAIVER FORM

If you choose to support the Roll-a-Thon, your donation will go straight to Johnny Kicks Cancer, a 501(c) charitable organization. [1]    JKC will be donating the proceeds from the Roll-a-thon in Johnny’s name to Teen Cancer America (TCA) [2], which partners with hospitals to create and develop specialized facilities and services for teens and young adults with cancer.

[1] Johnny Kicks Cancer Foundation, dedicated to cure childhood leukemia through awareness, research and advocacy, as well as empower and encourage patients, families and doctor’s in their fight against the number one childhood cancer.

[2] Teen Cancer America is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer.

FROM ALEX MIDLER ————————————————
Dear Friends and Family:
For those of you who know me or my parents, you know that each year I hold a Roll-a-thon to raise money for cancer research in honor of Johnny Romano, a young boy who would have been my age had he not died of childhood leukemia.  Please consider joining us this year or at least making a donation online to Johnny Kicks Cancer (a non-profit organization) from the homepage of my website – www.alexmidler.com or at www.crowdrise.com/roll-a-thon.   Any amount would be helpful and appreciated.

On Sunday October 18th at 12:00 noon, our Fourth Roll-a-thon begins at Skatelab Indoor Skatepark and Museum, at 4226 Valley Fair Street, Simi Valley, California.  Anyone can participate by riding something that rolls, like a scooter, bike or skateboard.

This year, Johnny Kicks Cancer will be donating the proceeds to Teen Cancer America, a charitable organization dedicated to helping teens and young adults with cancer.

I really appreciate you considering joining me on October 18th, or at least making a donation in honor of the Fourth Annual Roll-a-Thon.

Thank you for your help.
